The Coming Home of the Soul: The End, in the Book's Own Words
The closing of the journey
Every book has a last page, and *Nature of the Divine* chooses to end with grace rather than fear. Its *Farewell* chapter gathers the whole journey and lets it come home:
"All we are will turn into dust and light."
Dust and light
Two images, one end. Dust — the body, the cosmos, the matter that returns to its cosmic form.
"The body returns back to the cosmic form which is dust manifested from pure energy, the infinite intelligence, the light."
Light — the soul, the energy, the eternal. While the body returns to dust, the invisible, eternal part joins its home:
"The soul, the hand, the light will join its home into the singularity which is pure energy without the self, the body and consciousness."
The self that lets go
The book is scrupulously honest about what ends and what continues:
"The self that is made of chemical and electrical combinations of intelligence cease to exist sometime while the soul, the hand, the light will join its home."
The self — the identity built of thoughts — lets go. But the soul — the divine reflection — comes home to the singularity of pure energy, the light. Nothing sacred is lost.
The meaning of the whole
In its final lines, the book restates the meaning of all that came before:
"All exists for the self. For a story from void to a life composed of happiness and sadness. The divine journey of the Divine being, to fulfill the dream of a self to live a life in a million ways."
Think about that: "All exists for the self... to fulfill the dream of a self to live a life in a million ways." The entire cosmos — the complexity, the love, the beauty, the sorrow — exists so that a self can live, and dream, and become.
The question left with us
The book closes with a question, not an answer — and leaves it with us like a gift:
"Why does everything exist only for a self to experience life? Is the self God himself dreaming a human life?"
It does not answer. It trusts us to hold the question as we live.
Coming home
When the journey ends, the book says, we turn into dust and light — the body to dust, the soul to light. Not loss, but *homecoming*. To live well is to live as part of that divine dream — fully, tenderly, aware — so that when the light calls the soul home, there is no fear, only return.
The book ends. The journey it describes does not.
