Energy Is Neither Created nor Destroyed: The Eternal Light

A law that points beyond physics

There is a law of conservation of energy: energy is neither created nor destroyed, only transformed from one form to another. It is bedrock physics. And *Nature of the Divine* finds in it a spiritual doorway:

"Energy is neither created nor destroyed but is only transferred from one form to another over action."

From the start to the end

The book grounds its entire cosmology in this:

"Like everything else in nature, human beings are also born to the same singularity, which is energy that exists as equal from the very beginning of time and will stay the same till the end of time."

The energy that made the stars is the energy that makes you. It did not begin with your birth and will not end with your death — it is only *transferred*, transformed, shaped into new expressions.

The light that cannot be lost

The book threads this law into its deepest questions about God:

"Is energy the light of God that he created to construct a reality in which we can live...? Or is the light, God himself?"

Whatever your answer, the point stands: what is fundamental cannot be destroyed. If the soul is connected to this eternal energy — this "light" — then the soul shares in its indestructibility.

Death as transformation, not loss

The *Farewell* chapter applies this directly to death:

"All we are will turn into dust and light. There ends the story of a human being into the void of nature and later the cosmos. The self... cease to exist sometime while the soul, the hand, the light will join its home into the singularity which is pure energy."

Notice the carefully chosen words: the *self* ceases, but the soul and the light "join their home" — returning to the singularity of pure energy. Nothing is lost. Everything is transformed.

Living as eternal energy

How do you live in light of the fact that your deepest energy never ends?

• Fear less — what is essential about you cannot be destroyed.
• Tend your energy — your body, mind, and soul are forms of the eternal; care for them as expressions of the infinite.
• See the connection — the same energy in you is in everyone and everything; you are not separate.

The constant thread

In a universe of change, this one thing is constant: energy, the fundamental force, is neither created nor destroyed. The book invites you to see it not as an abstract law but as the very substance of the divine — the light that was, is, and will be, endlessly reshaping itself, and endlessly including you in its journey.

This reflection is a companion to Nature of the Divine by *Alfas B* — a spiritual philosophy book on consciousness, the soul journey, and inner peace. When an article like this resonates, the full journey continues in the book.
